Palardelphia is a portmanteau of “Philadelphia” and “Palardy”, the first half of which describes the writer – David Palardy. The second half establishes the subject matter – the Philadelphia Phillies.

David Palardy is a father, husband, software developer, amateur sabermetrician, and lifelong Phillies fan. He has spent years tinkering with statistics leaderboards and learning more about what makes America’s pastime tick, and decided to do something productive with this knowledge rather than horde it.

This web page will focus on the Phillies, but if there are other baseball curiosities that move Dave’s spirit, he’ll write about them, too. Baseball is weird.
